SUPPORT STAFF VACANCIES
Custodian
The Winter School District is actively seeking for a full-time custodian starting immediately.
Description: Various Hours and Shifts. 40hrs/wk
Qualifications: The Custodian is responsible for ensuring the cleaning and maintaining of all school property, both interior and exterior. The Maintenance Custodian ensures that all equipment, materials, etc. are available to scheduled activities, both community and student; removal of trash, snow and debris from exterior areas; serve as the representative of the District to the community, students, parents, and the general public while activities are occurring within the building. In addition, it is the objective of the maintenance staff to maintain a high standard a cleanliness, orderly, and well-maintained environment in which the students can learn, participate in extracurricular activities, and develop as responsible members of our society. Communication and ability to collaborate with others in the school community is key to this position.
Skills: Ability to operate equipment including vacuums, auto scrubbers, carpet extractors, swing scrubbers, and other minor maintenance equipment. Ability to operate snow and grounds equipment. Ability to communicate and cooperate with colleagues, students, administrators, parents and members of the community to maintain a positive working relationship. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work on feet for majority of shift. Ability to work outside, in extreme conditions as needed.

Full-time Bus Driver
The Winter School District is actively seeking a full-time bus driver starting the 2021-2022 school year
Description: Driver will drive both the AM and PM routes for a total of 4 hours per day. Wage rate: $91.41 per day
Qualifications: Candidates must have clean driving record, the ability to safely transport students to and from school, have strong interest in working with children, communicate effectively, hold a current CDL License with bus driver endorsement or be willing to acquire one. The District is willing to train.

4K - Paraprofessional
The Winter School District is a seeking qualified candidate to fill a full-time 4K- Paraprofessional position.
Performance Requirements: Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, parents, and the public in a professional and confidential manner - work as a team member, and be flexible to the needs of students and staff - Must be self-directed and possess strong communication; and have the ability to support student learning in a variety of educational settings - Requires experience with students with special needs, and strong skills in developmentally appropriate student management - Requires ability to supervise students in various settings inside and outside - Some positions may involve providing assistance with toileting, feeding, and transferring students with physical limitations. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with special education students. The ideal candidate will also have assisted with students that have intellectual and behavioral challenges.
Education Requirements: The successful candidate must possess a DPI Special Education Program Aide License or will be willing to obtain one. This license can be applied for online only through DPI and there is a fee required to obtain the license. Certification in crisis prevention intervention preferred. Have at least two years of post-secondary education that is equivalent to at least 48 semester hours from an accredited higher education institution, or have obtained an associate (or higher) degree, or have met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness) by taking and passing one of the required proficiency assessments.

Assistant Varsity Football
Qualifications: Strong human relation skills to develop a positive working relationship with students, staff, parents, and community members. Previous successful coaching experience and knowledge of each sport is preferred.
Leadership skills, including but not limited to organization, motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to motivate student-athletes to work together and achieve high levels individually and as a team. Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities is desired. Candidate must be able to work with other members of the coaching staff.
