The WHS "Modern Band" is made up of traditional as well as non-traditional "concert band" instruments. We've got bass guitarists and vocalists, as well as a drum set, but also flute, clarinet, saxophone, and tuba. The students began our rehearsals this year by choosing what popular songs they wanted to play, and I just arranged their pop songs to work with the instruments they're playing. Mr. Wood really wants the students to take ownership of their music and expressiveness, and is here to help them along their path.
Congratulations WHS Modern Band and Mr. Wood!
