Reiley Kavanaugh, daughter of Jamie Thran and Mike Kavanaugh, is featured in our Senior Spotlight.
Reiley is best known for her hard work, completing difficult college classes while working a nearly full-time job. She has served as class president and plays Varsity basketball and softball.
Reiley plans to attend UW-LaCrosse this coming fall to major in Kinesiology and minor in business for physical therapy. After her bachelor’s, she plans to go to medical school to get her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Mrs. Lueloff, the Winter School District Business Education teacher, says, “I am so proud of Reiley, but have missed her this year with her out of the building for work release for most of the day. I felt lucky that when she did come into the building, she always stopped by my room. Reiley is motivated to succeed and earn her bachelor’s degree (and more) in LaCrosse. She is a smart cookie who will be missed. She always makes me laugh and yet is a serious student who wants the best.”
Mr. Delabar, the Winter School District Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director, says, “Reiley has been a great leader for both our basketball and softball teams over the past four years. She has consistently set the tone with her work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to support her teammates. It has been a lot of fun watching her grow as an athlete and leader, and she has been a joy to watch compete throughout her high school career.”
