Last nights PINK game against Birchwood was also Parents’ Night and Fall Officials Appreciation Night!
Firstly, we wanted to show support for survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and also support those who are currently battling. By wearing pink in the stands and on the court, Birchwood, Winter, and their fans demonstrated support for those affected.
Another big shout goes to our officials. Not just this week or in this sport, but all of the officials who show up to make sure our kids are able to play according to the rules of the game. Officials go through trainings and voluntarily become a point of authority during athletics and they deserve the utmost respect, even if we don’t always agree with their calls! Thanks to Nate McNaughton and John Meznarich who traveled a combined 314 miles round trip to call a quality game last night!

October is a great month for hands-on science activities! This week the Science Club took a look at skeletons! We have plastic replicas of different bones of the human body, as well as some models from reptiles, an amphibian and a cat! Students made paper skeletons, worked on puzzles and read some books. Twenty minutes went way too fast this week! And for next week? Something else Halloween-themed!
Pack 55 is continuing to "get the ball rolling" and will be meeting at Ojibwe Park Wednesday at 6 p.m. Families can still come join the adventure or contact me with questions.
