Electrical Safety Program comes to the Winter School
Jump River Electric Cooperative came to the Winter School on Monday, March 24th to do a demonstration on Electrical Safety with the first and third grade students. Cory Andraschko and Ben Valentin brought Neon Leon, Lightning Liz and Oscar Meyer for a terrific program demonstration. The students learned about electrical safety in their homes and in their neighborhoods. Jump River gave the students pencils and informational coloring books to take home and share with their families. All of the students created Electrical Safety posters for a contest for Jump River. The winners will receive $50 for First Place and $25 for Second Place. Keep your fingers crossed that students from our school will win this fun contest!

Winter High School students attended a live performance of "Twelfth Night" on Thursday, March 27. This Shakespearean comedy follows the story of twins Viola and Sebastian. After being separated in a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a man to enter the service of Duke Orsino, who is in love with Lady Olivia, who in turn falls in love with Sebastian, leading to confusion and a series of romantic complications. Our Winter students enjoyed the show, with many asking if a similar field trip could be planned in the future. Winter High School and its students would like to thank the University of Wisconsin-Superior's Theater Department for an amazing and enjoyable experience.

Mr. Moelter and Mrs. Strop's 4th and 5th grades had the amazing opportunity to visit Thompson's Sugarbush. They were able to witness firsthand the maple syrup process. They even tapped a tree, tasted sap and compared it to the finished product! Thank you, Thompson's for a perfect field trip!

4K Registration!
The Winter School District Science and Art Fair is to be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025, in the Middle School gym. Many of our students across all grade levels will have entries and everyone is welcome to join us to see the exhibits and have a meal. Judging starts at 3:00 pm, dinner is at 5:15 pm and awards are at 6:00 pm.
Hello Parents and Guardians,
The March 27th band concert is to be postponed until further notice due to a death in the immediate family of Mr. Matheson. Mr. Matheson will be rescheduling the concert for a date to be determined. We expect to share out the new concert date by early next week.

On Thursday, March 20th Sarah Granica and Melissa Bartlett came to Winter's 5th grade and High School Personal Finance classes to present to them about being Money Smart! We are so lucky to have businesses that care and support our students! Thank you Chippewa Valley Bank! Also, extra thanks for the piggy banks and tumblers!
"The Concert is 27 March 2025. Musicians should plan on being in the school in the band room by 6:00 PM to get music, instruments, any last minute instructions, and warmed up. The Concert will begin at 7:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. Musicians should wear any Winter School Spirit Wear that they have. As long as it says "Winter'", that attire is acceptable. If the musician does not have "Winter" spirit wear, any attire that is in the school colors (red, black, and white) will be acceptable. If you have any questions, please see, email, or talk to Mr. Matheson. See you at the Concert."
