We were "rolling" today in Science Club with our focus on magnets and marbles...an introduction to physics. Students built a marble run, played Kerplunk and built structures with magnets. I know the students are begging for more than one day a week of Science Club. I also work with WORK club on Thursday afternoons so they could consider signing up for afterschool activities during the next session. As for another morning...I'll keep you posted...it is so exciting to see students of all ages working together and being so excited about science!

This past Friday the High School and Middle School students visited the Project Northwoods Research Area (formerly the Winter Archery Club) to learn about Native American culture from the Bizihiki Wellness Center. Students learned about making tea from native plans, took a nature hike, participated in a dance, heard stories, played a game and tried some traditional foods. This was an amazing experience for our students! Thank you, Bizihiki Wellness Center, for a wonderful event on a beautiful day!

Big shout out to the Eau Claire Blugolds for inviting our volleyball team to watch Eau Claire Vs. Lacrosse on Wednesday night! The Blugolds took the W in four sets and were able to have a meet and greet and signing with our girls. That win is the Blugolds 13th straight.

Kris Neumann, owner of Pat’s Landing, hosted team dinner for the High School Volleyball team at our school. Kris has been very supportive of Winter School District for years - not only donating proceeds from meat raffles and other events, but also employing a number of our students and student athletes. We are thankful for everything she does to support our athletes!

Our high schooler, Cenzie, partnered with the Kinders on a project this week. She brought us on a fall hunt outside, then we tried to glue our found items onto a paper cup. We ran into some problems, but it was a great learning experience! In the end, our new suggestions worked well and these were our creations! Thank you to all who sent us those glass jars!!

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You! 🌟 We want to extend a huge thank you to the Hayward Piecemakers Quilting Guild for their incredible generosity! 🎉 They have, once again, donated beautiful quilts and books to our 4K students.
Guild members rose to the challenge of creating a quilt inspired by a children’s book, and the results were simply stunning! Each quilt perfectly captured the essence of its corresponding story, making it even more special. 📚❤️
Our students were thrilled to receive these treasures, and we know they will enjoy them for years to come. Thank you, Hayward Piecemakers, for your creativity, dedication, and kindness! You truly make a difference in the lives of our young learners! 💖✨
