Third Grade Santa Visit

Peyton is putting In the work. She’s been outstanding in practices and getting more and more confidence every time she’s on court. Keep up the hard work.

Thank you Mathew Limbaugh and Tyler Martin for giving your free time to help out!

Last night at the School Board meeting, some students and staff were able to share updates on our hard WORK going on in Winter on our academic and career planning. Every student at Winter has a "What's Your Plan" goal for when they graduate that can change with them as they grow! Some Elementary students were able to share their career goals posters and talk about their favorite classes and role models. Some Middle School students shared their portfolio from our career program we use that encourages students to explore classes they enjoy and their skills and gives them options of career paths to explore and research. Some High School students were able to share their plans they have for after graduation and how their individualized schedule helps them to take classes now that will help them most in their future career.
Some staff were also able to share the exciting and hard WORK they are doing as a team to constantly grow the "What's Your Plan" program. Some highlights of this include: students having a wide variety of business courses to choose from and learning about business skills from Kindergarten all the way through Senior year, the Tech Ed department is able to bring in lots of experience and connections for students in many career fields, we have Advanced Placement and dual-credit college courses offered in house because of our very own Science and Social Studies departments being able to teach these high level courses for students to earn college credit for free while at our high school, and the Counseling department was able to share the large growth (more than doubled) number of Winter students participating in Youth Apprenticeship, Work-based learning, and college courses, as well as the growth of being able to meet individually with students to tailor their path to their future career and help them meet their goals for after graduation.
