Kinders are getting into the excitement of homecoming. W for WINNING

It’s always a fun day when your teacher brings out paint! Third grade did a terrific job on their fall tree projects in Mrs. Adams’ room.

Last night our Girls' Volleyball Team played the New Auburn Trojans. The gym was filled with amazing energy from students, community members, and staff!! Thank you to all who came out last night to support our Winter Warriors! The Lady Warriors lost to the Trojans.

4K had a wonderful time on our field trip to the Mitza Creek Farm! 🌽🎃 The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast — from playing in the corn pit, making music on the music wall, and bouncing in the inflatables, to rolling in the giant hamster wheel, driving pedal cars, enjoying lunch together, and even trying their hand at axe throwing (with plenty of giggles along the way!).
A huge thank you to Head Start for sponsoring this adventure, to our awesome bus driver Bruce for getting us there safely, and to the parents and family members who came along to share in the fun. We are so grateful for the support that makes days like this possible. 💛 Part 2

Tuesday night, the Winter Warriors volleyball team recognized staff members who have made a difference in their lives. A number of different staff members were invited to attend the game against Lake Holcombe and be recognized for their impact. It is fun to see these girls giving back to the community that raised them and showing appreciation to those who get to spend time with them every day!
Specially recognized was all around super fan and bus driver, Bruce Merrill for his constant support and safe driving of our teams! Part 2

This week in Guidance, we went outside to find 7 hidden letters and worked together as a team to unscramble the letters to figure out what we are learning about next in Guidance - Careers! This month we will be focusing on careers. We also had a little contest to start out our Career Unit. Each grade was timed to make a list of as many careers as possible. 3rd grade ended up winning with a list of 54!

We are looking for an Assistant Coach for High School Boys Basketball

Three more businesses will be joining us for our Career Cafe!

Flag football season has come to an end! Tons of learning took place this season and we were able to field both a 5/6th grade team as well as a 7/8th grade team. The season culminated in a Jamboree in Winter with all 5 teams in our league. Winter did not lose all night!

Here is the schedule and info for Career Cafe next week Thursday, October 9th

👩🔬🍎 4K students are ... SCIENTISTS!
This week’s science focus: the sense of taste.
Today, we explored all things apple—sampling 5 different kinds of apples, crunchy apple chips, and even a small caramel apple candy. Students used bingo daubers and recording sheets to carefully document their discoveries.
Hands-on learning never tasted so good! 🍏✨

We were "rolling" today in Science Club with our focus on magnets and marbles...an introduction to physics. Students built a marble run, played Kerplunk and built structures with magnets.
I know the students are begging for more than one day a week of Science Club. I also work with WORK club on Thursday afternoons so they could consider signing up for afterschool activities during the next session. As for another morning...I'll keep you posted...it is so exciting to see students of all ages working together and being so excited about science! Part 2
