Community Engagement Series September 21st:

Thankful for these HS gentlemen helping the community & strengthening the Homecoming Celebration Bonfire.

Thank you to juniors Phoenix, Isaiah, and Arrin for helping Lance from the Village of Winter with three loads of brush to add to the pile for the bonfire that will be held after the High School football game tonight. It's always wonderful how much the students help the Village with community services like this.

Thanks for Being the 1, Gentlemen!

The elementary students are making beautiful and uplifting posters for walk for tomorrow!!! They brainstormed these kind sayings and are working hard on decorating. We talked about what the walk means and why it is so important to do our best to help to welcome everyone and be kind.

Join the Winter School District Creative Writing Club! An opportunity for students in grades 4-12 to write and publish their own book!

SCIENCE CLUB's first meet was a huge success! Here are a few pictures from Dr. Ray!

SCIENCE CLUB meets Tuesday Mornings before school: 7:30-7:50 am.

Announcement:

The freshmen in Physical Science started the year with an introduction to physics. They had 30 minutes to build the tallest structure while using the least amount of spaghetti noodles and marshmallows! Everyone completed a structure with the tallest at 56 centimeters (22 inches).

The sophomore Biology students began the year with exploring the scientific method. They pretended that each team found an injured whale on which they placed a bandaid (the sheet). However, it was on upside down and had to be flipped as a team without being able to talk (over the waves of the ocean). Both teams worked well together making observations, conducting an experiment, analyzing results and reflecting on any ways to improve their methods. And the injured whale healed!

WARRIORS START CONFERENCE PLAY WITH A SWEEP!

Last night, the Warriors traveled to Cornell for our first conference matchup of the season, and both JV and Varsity came home with wins.

JV WINS 2-1

VARSITY SWEEPS 3-0

We’ve had a great start of the season, keep it going, Winter!
