December 2025
Ella Molenda
Class of 2028
Ella Molenda, daughter of Chelsey Shanks, has been chosen as
the Winter High School Student of the Month for December 2025.
Ella is currently a sophomore at Winter High School. She is a
diligent worker who always completes her assignments in a
timely manner and to the best of her ability. While in High School,
Ella is playing volleyball and has participated in Skills USA.
Mr. Suralski, the Winter High School Social Studies teacher says,
“Ella is a great choice for our student of the month. She really
exemplifies the WHS motto of “WORK” in that she goes about
her business of learning every day without any fuss or fanfare,
simply doing excellent work day in and day out. Ella’s WORK
ethics sets a high bar for other students to follow. Great job, Ella!”
Mrs. Lueloff, the Winter School District Business Education
teacher says, “Ella is a joy to have in class this year. I feel so
fortunate to get to know Ella better. She may come off as quiet,
but she is such a joy! She is my next accounting prodigy! She
works hard, and is diligent every day in class. She asks
appropriate questions, and is actually curious to understand her subjects in school. Ella is
always up for a challenge and honestly, prospers when she tackles each challenge. She is kind,
hardworking and a joy to have around. As much as she doesn’t always speak up, she maintains
a strong presence of what it is to be a Warrior.”
Congratulations to Ella for earning Student of the Month for December 2025!

The Middle School Boys Basketball game at New Auburn scheduled for today has been cancelled. There is also no practice tonight.

Some of the comments we received from teachers and event organizers:
"Mr. Delabar,
I just wanted to inform you that the HS helpers were very "Benevolent" and Altruistic. Yes I googled and copied/pasted those words.
They were great!"
-Mr. Moelter - 4th Grade
"They did a GREAT job! 🥳🥳🥳"
Jan Skille - 1st grade
"Thank you guys so much for being good role models to the little guys!"

Lots of laughs and holiday cheer was in the air this day!

Coaches Mike, Jennie, Shawna, and Deven chose athletes who made their mark this week and shared some words:
Girls-
Ava was selected as our player of the week.
Ava has been putting in the work this year. She’s confident with the ball and her defense has been outstanding. Her shooting is on point. Keep up the great work Ava.
Boys-
Logan has been selected as the HS Boys Player of the week. Logan does everything we ask of him and he does it with a smile. He is always punctual. He works hard in practice and he has made consistent improvement.

BOYS BASKETBALL UPDATE! Please note that the boys will be playing first for Friday, December 5th.
Good afternoon, given the numbers and varsity experience level of our boys basketball team this season, we have decided to play a hybrid JV/Varsity schedule for the 25/26 season. This gives our boys the best opportunity to compete at a more competitive level and learn and grow to become better players for the future. Please contact Mr. Delabar with any questions or concerns you may have.
Attached is both our new BOYS ONLY Schedule, as well as the updated Boys/Girls schedule. Some of the changes have caused some girls game times to be shuffled around, so please make note of the changes in your calendars.

Gracie is hardworking and has become an outstanding defender. She’s been pushing herself in practices and really having a lot of fun doing it. Her dance moves on the court are top notch. Keep up the great work Gracie.
Write up by coach Mike.
