Please note that today’s middle school game will start at 5:30 instead of 5:00 as previously posted.

The challenge is on!
Winter kindergarten is racing to read 100 books before the end of the school year! Each student is working hard, at school and at home, to read books on our own. We even have a friendly challenge going on with Mrs. Greuel’s LCO first graders to see how quickly we can get to the finish line!

4K has been learning all about gingerbread. We explored how gingerbread is made, smelled fresh ginger (though we weren’t quite brave enough to taste it), tried gingerbread cookies, read several different versions of gingerbread man stories, and wrapped up the unit by making our own gingerbread houses. It was a truly sweet unit!

We are having a Blood Drive.

Sending Letters to Santa
Students in Winter School 4K through 2nd grade got to send off their letters to Santa on Wednesday morning. Each year, our Winter Post Office welcomes the students with cookies and juice, while students mail their letters and add hand made ornaments to the tree. A big THANK YOU goes out to Amber and Chelsea for always being so kind hosting us on this special morning each year!

It's Game Day!!

The Advanced Placement Environmental Science students took a field trip to the Village of Winter water treatment ponds. Village of Winter Water Operator Lance Armstrong explained the water and wastewater system for the Village. Students learned about the natural filtration of the ponds and how much water is used throughout the Village. Students had great questions and admitted that it was actually pretty interesting to understand where our water comes from and where our waste goes! Pictures include views of the ponds during the summer, highlighting wildlife that utilizes this natural area. This time of year they are snow covered and difficult to tell what is under the cover! Thanks, Lance, for taking time out of your day to speak to our students!
